You're a Mast!
I read a friends' post on facebook sometimes ago asking me to check those who deleted me from their friends list. But guess what? I laughed in Chinese and simply said "anyone who deletes me without me noticing is not worth being my friend in the first place".
Come on! You're a mast and mast cannot be hidden. You're meant to be a super star. A shining example to your world. Your name is expected to attract some eternal relevance. A hero -that's who you're made to be!

Ban of All Promotions and Lotteries by Telecommunications Operators
The Commission has, in recent times been inundated with several complaints from consumers, Industry Stakeholders against the various promotions offered by Telecommunications Operators.
Consistent with its processes, the Commission has carefully evaluated the complaints received especially against the backdrop of sustaining the integrity of the networks, the general interest of the consumers, the socio-economic impact of these promotions on Operators and other relevant stakeholders.
The Commission is also mindful of its statutory responsibilities such as; to protect and promote the interest of consumers against unfair practices, promote fair competition in the industry by protecting Operators from misuse of market power and anti-competitive/unfair practices by other Operators.
i. In due regard to the afore-mentioned responsibilities therefore and having observed that these promotions have increased the number of minutes available to subscribers for use within a limited period of time thereby creating congestion in the networks as subscribers try to use up the available minutes within the stipulated time.
ii. That on-net calls were now being offered by Operators at tariffs well below the prevailing inter-connect rates thereby introducing anti-competitive practices and behaviour.
iii. That termination of calls were becoming increasingly difficult from one network to another and overall consumer experience on the networks has become very poor thereby making it extremely difficult for subscribers to make calls successfully.
Consequent upon the above-mentioned, the Commission therefore has banned all promotions by Telecommunications Network Operators as well as lotteries being carried out on such networks. This ban covers all proposed and approved promotions and lotteries on which the Commission has given approval further to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) entered into with the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC).
This ban is with immediate effect and shall continue to remain in force until such a time as may be determined by the Commission. The Telecom Operators affected by this include the following:
• GLOBACOM LTD
• MTN
• INTERCELLULAR NIG PLC
• VISAFONE COMMS LTD
• ETISALAT
• AIRTEL NETWORKS LTD
• MULTILINKS TELECOMS LTD
The Commission wishes to assure all Telecommunications consumers of its resolve to ensure that the Quality of Service offered across all networks is such that delivers value to the consumers.

According to the theme (Come up Higher), the Holy Spirit made it clear to me that; if I must go higher, I must be ready to:
Step out of the multitude!
You cannot move up in the midst of crowd. Even when you try so hard, your effort will be impeded and you will see yourself moving in snail's speed. When in a midst of crowd, you cannot express yourself. Even if you do, no one will hear because of the deafening noise that emanates from the surrounding people. That wouldn't have been a problem had anyone cared to listen -everyone is busy with his or her personal issues!
Coming out of crowd does not mean however, that you should ostracize yourself.
*It simply means; getting out of relationships that won't make God proud of you as His child.
*It means leaving that evil clique that directly or indirectly glorifies the Devil.
*It also means doing things in an unusual way as directed by the Holy Spirit.
*It involves trying new things.

HOW TO KNOW 'TRUE' LOVE
LOVE has got different meaning to different people these days -so many twist! The most challenging questions now are:
*what is true love?
*how can one find true love?
*how do you know those who truly love you?
*how do I know if what I'm feeling right now is true love? These and many more question still struggle to get answers in our hearts!
Before anything, I'll like to debunk this idea of 'true' or 'real' love! There's no such thing as 'true' or 'real' love! You are either in love or you are not. You can only have an original product of a fake one -when there's no fake, there's no original. Love is love...no real, no fake.
What then is /el/ /ou/ /vi:/ /i:/?
First, let's see what linguists have to say.

Now from the Biblical point of view. God is Love therefore, Love is God. If Love is God;
Love is creative.
Love is instructive,
Love is forbearing,
Love is forgiving,
Love is anti-evil,
Love is kind,
Love is caring,
Love is generous,
Love is selfless,
Love is respectful,
Love is firm,
Love is flexible,
Love is humble,
Love is eternal...you can continue the list by fixing in God's characters!
Let's now define Love using all relevant terms earlier discussed. "Love is an unexplainable feeling of selfless affection towards someone who you intend to add value to!" Does that make any sense at all? Yes? Good! It's now time for the real deal.
If someone claims to love you, he/she must show traits of all the characteristics mentioned earlier.

One more thing, I'll like to tell you about someone who had loved us since the day we were conceived till date! ...Some years back, they misunderstood his love for us and had him killed... He laid down his life because of you and I. That's to prove how much he loves us.
On the third day, God resurrected him so that those he died for, will have the privilege of reciprocating his great Love! All you need to do to reciprocate his love is to accept him as your Lord and Saviour. Next is to start doing his will as recorded in the Holy Bible! JESUS LOVES YOU!!
You know what? You've succeeded in winning my love! I Love You!

*how do I know if what I'm feeling right now is true love? These and many more question still struggle to get answers in our hearts!
Before anything, I'll like to debunk this idea of 'true' or 'real' love! There's no such thing as 'true' or 'real' love! You are either in love or you are not. You can only have an original product of a fake one -when there's no fake, there's no original. Love is love...no real, no fake.

CHIEF MKO ABIOLA'S VICTORY AND DENIAL -AN EPITOME OF INJUSTICE
On June 12, 1993 (exactly 19years ago); the democratically elected Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola was denied his mandate as the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. As if that's not enough, he was thrown into detention where he later died just like a common criminal...
Injustice has eaten deep into every aspect of the society. Ranging from our elections to the economy, education, leadership, followership, religion...everywhere!
But the BIG questions are;
*should we just let it be and continue suffering its sting?
*what must be done to at least, reduce its rate?
*who should start up the revolution? The answers are not far fetched, we can't just let it lie! We must all join our hands together in unison to throw out injustice as far as we can. As for who to start it, I volunteer.
This I'll do by returning the extra amount mistakenly given to me as change whenever it happens. I promise to always say the truth no matter what the consequences are. I promise to give people's property in my custody back to them. I promise not to side track the disadvantaged. I promise to stand for justice no matter the affected person (friend or family)...
You may be wondering what all these had got to do with justice. Hmm... Everything my dear! If you aren't aware; injustice is not just striping people of their rights, it includes treating people unfairly! It also involves making someone believe you love him/her when your motive is to get something from him/her! Oh, you don't know? Doing less than you are paid to do is injustice! Jumping the que is injustice! Browsing free by tapping others' server is injustice! Let's just limit it at these (the list continues though).
Now let's us see injustice from another point of view. Do you know that your not praying for your family members, friends, leaders, and enemies, is injustice. Yes, it is...not even that grimace on your face will make shy away from reality.
Let's yet see another twist to injustice. Do you know that there are some people or spirits whose assignment is to strip you of your blessings, glory, success, progress, prosperity and or greatness? Have you ever wondered why you are still in this position of yours as against where God wants you to be? Do you think things are going the way they are just like that? Sweetheart, it is the work of the spiritual version of those who denied MKO his mandate.
Chief Abiola's case is now a history, we are the event. These people or spirits will stop at nothing until their target is dead! You won't allow them perform their enterprise on your destiny. Will you?
If your answer is same as mine then you need a counter power that will be strong enough to stop these 'Spiritual Injustice Attendants'. Till tomorrow, the only power as strong as that is that of God! Take refuge under him today...
Meanwhile, I pray in the name of Jesus that every work of these SIAs in our lives, in the lives of our family members, in our career, in our destiny, in anything that concerns us is stopped abruptly. Never will they be able to manipulate their ways into our lives in Jesus' name...AMEN!

ALWAYS AHEAD
A young man was some few meters behind me when I was trekking to the farm yesterday. I didn't notice that he was no longer behind me until I saw him coming out from a shortcut. Before he could join the main road; I've gone some meters farther away from him!
When I looked back, he was no longer following me so I assumed he had got to his destination... I was soon proved wrong when for the last time I saw him in the other track. He was close enough for me to notice the sweat that covered him.
When I later got to the farm, I wondered why he couldn't reduce the gap between us not to talk of meeting me despite his fast pace and the shortcuts...
I therefore decree: every evil force, any individual or group of people, any agent of darkness, every monitoring spirits assigned to follow and impede your progress will loose track of you from this moment. No matter how they hard strive, you will always outpace them in Jesus' name!

Story, Story... Story! Once upon a Time...
A boy and his father were sitting outside one bright night. The father was so preoccupied with things best known to him that he barely noticed the galaxies of stars that gave the night its unusual brightness.
After a long silence; the boy thought sharing his new philosophy about stars will be a good idea but first, he'll like to know what his father think about them.
"Dad?" the boy called out to get his father's attention and his father answered and said "What is it? Young man!" "Actually," the boy continued "I've been thinking about stars. I've wanted to know what they are and why they come out at night. So, can you please tell me what you know about them? I already got an idea though"
It was at this point that the father took cognizance of the unusually bright sky. He cleared his throat and stammeringly said "I... I don't... Ehmm... Ok! I really don't know much about stars except that they... are big clusters of gas and...yes! Though they seem small, they are far much bigger than the whole earth!" He noticed his son was not embarrassed. Rather, he had an expression that suggests 'I've got a better idea'. "Now tell me, what is it you said your opinion was?" The father asked, trying to shift the attention from himself.
"This is what I think;" the boy started "whenever anyone who does good dies, he immediately turns to a star and go up there to keep watch over his loved ones at night and those whose lives he had affected positively will keep on remembering him as long as they see the stars!" That is the END of my story.
Now let's come to reality... Assuming it happens just as the imaginary boy said, will you be qualified to turn to a star talk less of going up after your death? The story may be funny but there is always something to learn. Be good to yourself, be good to your family members, be good to your friends, be good to your neighbours, be good to strangers, be good to everyone that comes your way. You sure won't be forgotten for your good deeds. It pays to do good!

I AM TOO PRECIOUS TO BE WASTED
In one of his messages, Pastor E A Adeboye said there is someone in the congregation who had been involved in several killings. He said such a person should stand up because God has decided to forgive him/her. All he did was say some words of prayer for 'those' who stood up.
Mind you lives have been wasted. The life of a potential lawyer is probably one of them. The bread winner of a family might have been a victim. One of those who got killed is possibly destined to positively affect the whole world. Several potentials ended untapped.
Sincerely, if I were God; I'll make a public show of the merciless and shameful death that will be the lot of these murderers. But, who am I to question God. His judgement is final.
Won't it therefore be wise to secure oneself from these unscrupulous and ruthless elements? Will you consider hidding from them an act of cowardice? To make matters worst, these people are everywhere. Changing location is certainly not the answer. Where do we then hide?
If you ask me, I'll suggest a hide out. It's right about the safest place anyone can be. No witch, no assasin, no individual, no power of darkness can penetrate the place. It is so fortified that no opponent dares it.
The place is called 'the secret place of the most high'. Anyone residing here is automatically under the shadow of the Almighty God and you know where shadow stays right? It's always beside its owner.
God has opened his arms wide enough to contain everyone who accept his offer of love. And like a mother hen, he broods over and protect his own from these 'hawks'. As for me; I refuse to be wasted, join me please!
All you need do is confess your sins to God and ask that He forgives and cleanse you. Promise to do his good will henceforth. I want to welcome you to 'the secret place of the most high if you've genuinely did that! Stay right here to maintain your safety. Go to the nearest Bible-believing church and associate with them, it will help keep you under the shadow of the Almighty.

KNOWN ENEMY
An African proverb says “an enemy that you know can no longer harm you”. This however, does not hold true for some of us who know our weaknesses and still suffer because of their poor management. It is commendable that we are sometime able to frankly identify our weaknesses. It is a different ball game to see to the proper management of such weaknesses. What then is a weakness?
Weakness is a character or possession that one is so much attached to even if it prevents the fulfillment of one’s purpose. There was a time in my life when laziness dealt with me. I knew I was lazy and often time blame laziness for my misfortune. But, I was not determined enough to request for God’s backing in order to combat laziness and instill hard work in myself. Thank God for His timely help when I later asked for it.
I was discussing with a young man of about 24, 25 years old. He told me that he should have been a graduate considering when he finished his secondary school education but for stubbornness. Later that same day, he annoyingly left home and decided to leave for the village the next morning just because of his sister’s negligible provocation. He was able to identify his weakness but could not tame it.
The rich young man in the New Testament was too proud to do away with his weakness and was unable to fulfill his vision of having eternal life. When you sincerely do not know your weakness, prayerfully ask God and He will point it out to you. Honest people can also tell you but do not behave like that young rich man who got angry when told to get rid of his riches –which was his weakness. Rather, acknowledge it and start the process of checkmating it.
When you know your weakness, you have conquered it twenty percent. Your determination and work towards putting it under control increases the percent to sixty. God’s introduction into the plan makes it hundred percent. Just as the knowledge of your weakness alone cannot put it under control, so can your determination and work do little or nothing about it. Everything must go together.
Peter knew he cannot do anything without Jesus. He was therefore determined to do anything to stop him from been taken away. Unfortunately for him, Jesus was taken away and he had to face his weakness squarely. With determination and God’s backing through Holy Spirit, he overcame after all. Three thousand men gave their lives to Jesus after his first sermon.
That is to prove to you that your determination and work without God is nothing. Identify your weakness(es) today and start the process of combating it. Read relevant books, take advice from experienced individuals and live under the influence of the Holy Spirit. This may be a life long process!

WHEN NO ONE IS WATCHING
A preacher once woke a man sleeping on the decking of his house with his bell early in the morning. The man was challenged seeing someone go about, doing God’s work. After sometime, he (the man) saw a woman who was carrying what he assumed to be valuable goods. The woman got to a junction and dropped the load so as to take the remnant.
Before she came, the preacher was already on his way back. When he (the preacher) got to where the woman kept her goods, he stopped jingling his bell and checked to make sure no one is around. Being convinced that no one is watching, he took the goods and attempted to go away with them. Unknown to him was the fact that someone was up there watching.
This is a very sad funny story but we all at one point or the other, find ourselves in this kind of situation. We often look right, left, front and back to be sure no one is watching. Unfortunately, we do not remember to look up or down. Looking down might at least remind us of our death. It might remind us the fact that everything is vanity and nothing more. It could also bring to mind that men are from ground and there will they return.
Up there is an eye that never blinks. An eye that never miss one out of the eighty-six thousand, four hundred(86, 400) seconds in a day. The eye sees, analyzes and record every action of each individual human, simultaneously. It is capable of playing back what had been recorded several millenniums back. Is the fear of such an awesome eye not worth it? When no one is watching…God is!

THERMOSTATIC AND THERMOMETRIC BEINGS
Thermometer is an instrument that measures the temperature of a body. It does this by adjusting its own temperature to that of the body it comes in contact with. Thermostat on the other hand, is an instrument used for keeping the temperature of a place constant. It does this by constantly supplying heat until the environmental temperature equals the one it gives out.
Human beings can be grouped either as 'thermometric being' or 'thermostatic being'. Don't even try looking up these grouping in any Science textbook neither should you 'Google' it -you won't find them anywhere else!
Some people are just like the chameleon. They adjust their attitude to suite that of those living wherever they find themselves. They care so much about what people will say if seen doing the right thing as against the wrong thing in vogue. These people are those I call the 'thermometric beings'! They are easily influenced.
When a 'thermostatic being' gets to a gathering, boredom becomes a past experience. They cannot be in a place without everyone noticing. Everybody in the street soon start doing whatever they do. They influence!
Where do you belong? For me, I'm a 'thermometstatic being'! (That's a joke). Seriously, let's ask ourselves these seemingly negligible questions: Do I really have to follow multitude to do evil? Do I have to take or give bribe because people do it? Do I have to have sex before marriage because my friends do it? Do I have to drop an empty sachet of 'pure water' because there are thousands of it lying of the floor? Do I have to cheat before I can pass an exam? Do I have to dress indecently just because it's the trendy fashion? Do I have to rain abuses on policemen because of...(no comment)? Human beings can be grouped either as 'thermometric being' or 'thermostatic being'. Don't even try looking up these grouping in any Science textbook neither should you 'Google' it -you won't find them anywhere else!
Some people are just like the chameleon. They adjust their attitude to suite that of those living wherever they find themselves. They care so much about what people will say if seen doing the right thing as against the wrong thing in vogue. These people are those I call the 'thermometric beings'! They are easily influenced.
When a 'thermostatic being' gets to a gathering, boredom becomes a past experience. They cannot be in a place without everyone noticing. Everybody in the street soon start doing whatever they do. They influence!
Where do you belong? For me, I'm a 'thermometstatic being'! (That's a joke). Seriously, let's ask ourselves these seemingly negligible questions: Do I really have to follow multitude to do evil? Do I have to take or give bribe because people do it? Do I have to have sex before marriage because my friends do it? Do I have to drop an empty sachet of 'pure water' because there are thousands of it lying of the floor? Do I have to cheat before I can pass an exam? Do I have to dress indecently just because it's the trendy fashion? Do I have to rain abuses on policemen because of...(no comment)? Do I have to chant curses on PHCN officials each time there's power cut? I can go on and on... We must learn to do the right things not minding what others do. Let others be positively influenced by you!
WHY DESTROY?
It takes a minimum of seven days to build an average house but it won't take up to seven seconds to demolish the tallest skyscraper. You won't ask me how if you are technology inclined. Destroying things seems to be a lot easier than creating them.
Some people derive a kind of devilish joy when they destroy things. They are not satisfied until whatever comes to their hands is spoilt. Some catch fun when others are crying... The sponsors of this dreaded 'Boko Haram' sect belong to this group of people.
Another form of disastrous destruction is the one that's done with the tongue. Tongue, they say is the smallest sense organ but as small as it is, it can destroy the whole body. In it lies the power of life and death -so says the Bible.
Yes, you may not be destructive when it comes to physical destruction, what about those scars you've left in the hearts of people through careless use of tongue? What about the verbal abuse you've constantly engaged in? Have you ever had a second thought on those comments you made when you were angry? Remember that we all will give account of every single word that we utter someday.
Watch what you say and how you say it...your life depends on them. By 'them' I mean your statements, comments, phrases, words! Always think twice before talking. Don't let your mind be on your lips! ...don't destroy what you can or cannot create cos you are a creative being! You are created to (pro)create!!

THE COCOON
I once read a story of a man who saw a young butterfly that was struggling to get out of its cocoon. After sometimes, he thought of helping the poor little creature. This he did by tearing the cocoon apart thereby freeing the butterfly.
It was after he tore the cocoon that he noticed that the butterfly has an extra-large abdomen that prevented it from flying. The cocoon was actually there to shape it to size by expelling some of the body fluid. This man unfortunately did more harm than good to the butterfly.
That's why I'll like you to see those difficulties, those challenges, those hard times, those financial constraints, those delays, those disappointments, those pains, those frustrations of yours as 'cocoon'. They are there to shape you!!
There is certainly no glory without a story. If you don't know, I'm telling you now that that gold that shines so bright went through fire of some thousand degree Celsius. Whatever you're going through now is a process. Trust me; you're coming out glorious and like the eagle, you'll soar so high!!!
